
The four winners from the U.S. and one from Canada were randomly selected from a total of 6,875 sweepstakes entrants. They rang in 2017 in style by attending the world famous parade, including a visit to the Giti-sponsored “Decorating Places” where the floats receive their final preparations. Then it was on to a VIP tailgate party and a thrilling college football game decided in the final seconds of play. The trip package included airfare and hotel accommodations.
The winners of the Giti Tire Rose Parade Sweepstakes were: Tayo Ajayi of Toronto, ON; Linda Conrath of New Berlin, WI; Roy Gruss of Missoula, MT; Lorelei McGill of Burley, ID; and Scott Tessitore of Whitehall, PA.
This marked the second year for Giti Tire to sponsor the Rose Parade® and hold a related sweepstakes to promote the company’s growing presence in North America.
The company effectively used Facebook advertising to promote the Giti Tire Rose Parade Sweepstakes and build its Facebook fan base. Millions more were exposed to the company name through TV coverage and by attending the iconic parade in downtown Pasadena.
